She Imagines

Her parents aren’t home.
They work.
She wants to play soccer.
So…
She imagines she’s the best.
She kicks the ball
(a black and white sphere as
special as a diamond).
She scores at every game.
Yes! We won!

Aww, this is so cute. By a 3rd grader? All alone but really wanting to play soccer. I could see a young child imagining theirself playing, the champion of the game.

    I love it. =]
